THE BOOK

The book starts with evolution of style, costumes and accessories from the Rig Vedic times and the Harappan age moving on to the medieval, colonial and independence eras down to the present day. The narrative encompasses the emergence of fashion designers in India in the late eighties and influence of certain costume designers and their work via individual showcase sections.
